The City of Des Moines recently gave two new planters to the Des Moines Waterfront Farmers Market. The purchase is part of the new Marina landscaping. The market folks asked the Des Moines Garden Club if they would come in and fill the planters.
Allie House, President of the Garden Club, and Georgie Nupen, club member, spent Saturday morning installing perennials from Allie’s garden and some locally purchased annuals for color.
“We’ve got to make it pretty!” said Allie. Stop by the market and see for yourself!
