Calling all Carolers…TONIGHT – Friday, Dec. 7 – will be your chance to help ring in the holidays in Des Mounes at the ‘Charlie Brown Tree Lighting’!
Looks like Carolers are asked to meet at the Scotch and Vine (22341 Marine View Drive South; 206-592-2139) at 5 p.m.
“We’ll sing a song at each of the following locations as we make our way up to the Des Moines Tree Lighting at Big Catch Plaza, starting at 5 p.m.:
- The Scotch and Vine
- Marine View Massage
- Key Bank
- Salon Michelle
End at Big Catch Plaza for the Tree Lighting, which is set for 6 p.m.
Song lyrics will be provided at each location.
“In no specific order enjoy some FREE hot cocoa & cookies while watching holiday performances by the Des Moines Elementary Band and Friends and the Hi-liner’s! Keep a look out for Santa Claus. He will make his grand entrance aboard the antique South King County Fire Truck beginning at 227th along Marine View Drive.
Make sure to bring your warm coats, mittens and scarves to stay nice and warm. And don’t forget, have your cameras ready for photo opportunities with Mr. Claus himself!”
Tree Lighting will begin at 6 p.m.
