Our friends at the Des Moines Rotary Club are seeking new or used coats, mittens, winter hats and other things to help keep local children warm this winter with their annual Coat Drive, which continues through Dec. 10.
“Des Moines residents can help deserving students receive warm coats this winter by participating in the upcoming coat drive for Midway Elementary School,” reads an announcement. “The drive, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Des Moines and Midway Elementary, has a goal to collect 1,000 new or ‘gently used’ clean, warm coats.”
