WLB Advertiser Wesley Homes Des Moines retirement community welcomes visitors for its Harvest Moon Open House on Sunday, September 30, 2012, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Call 206-824-5000 for more information.

Open House activities include tastings of savory selections prepared by Wesley Homes’ culinary team led by Executive Chef Chuck Chalfant, self-guided tours of the campus and amenities, a home health demonstration, opportunities to visit with residents and a chance to win one of several prizes during our Passport to the Moon game: a trip with Alki Tours (valued at $500) and gift certificates to local shops and restaurants.

Old-fashioned ice cream cones will be served at the Wesley Homes Des Moines Health Center, recently awarded a five-star quality rating by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Guided tours of the newly renovated Health Center will be offered.

A Resource Fair with information on how to age successfully will be held in The Terrace Auditorium. Learn about downsizing, move coordination and Easy Transitions from Benevia; selling a home through SASH; adult day care from Elder & Adult Day Services; and the life-enhancing activities offered by the Des Moines Activity Center. Also available to share the programs and services they offer will be Wesley Homes Home Health and Wesley Homes Foundation.
