Two Federal Way Schools Put Into Lockdown after Stabbing Thursday

The King County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday (Feb. 7) responded to a report of a stabbing in Camelot Park, located just outside of the City of Federal Way, and put Thomas Jefferson High and Camelot Elementary Schools into lockdown as a precaution.

Police say that a 22-year old male called 911 at 11:34 a.m. Thursday morning (Feb. 7) to report he had been stabbed and the suspect had run off into the wooded area of the park.

Federal Way Police are assisting King County deputies and created a perimeter.

The King County Sheriff’s Office helicopter Guardian 1 was called in to assist in the search.

The victim became very uncooperative and refused to identify the suspect. He then changed his story and said he fell on his own knife.

At this point, deputies are still searching the park for the unknown assailant.
