The Des Moines Art Commission is putting a call out for Artists to help at their new Artists Corner at the Des Moines Farmers Market, starting Saturday, June 2.
This Will be an ongoing booth through the duration of the farmers market on the first Saturday of each month through October.
“We have only 10 spaces available, sized 10′x10′,” reads an announcement. “Artists will need to provide own material for hanging and/or displaying work. Cost to show is $25.00 cash to be paid day of farmers market.”
Any medium is welcome, and Artists can choose to share the space and half the cost with each other.
If interested, please email Kristy Dunn at kriduarts@gmail.com with description of your work along with at least one example picture. Please include name and/or name of your business. If under 18 you will need to be accompanied by parent during Farmers Market. First come first served.

Des Moines has long awaited such a novel approach to ths once neglected little building and I hope it receives the attention that it truly deserves, along with succcess. Now,, considering the “Cape Cod” theme being paid attention to at our council, how about a New Encland Clam Bake with seaweed a fire pit…well you get the idea and I would love to help for free!
