The City of Des Moines has added a new element to its website – a page devoted to snow and adverse weather conditions, aimed at providing “residents with current information about the snow and ice operations being performed by the Public Work crews.”
You can visit this webpage at http://www.desmoineswa.gov/snow.
“The City Public Works Department has been preparing for the winter weather events being forecasted over the next several days,” reads the website. “Our crews, plows, sanders and anti-ice equipment are ready for deployment should such an event occur, please be on the alert for the City’s equipment on the roads. Drivers are also urged to be prepared for the potential of black ice and use caution on all roadways, especially bridges and raised roads.”
Here’s a map from the city’s new snow page, showing snow and ice operations being performed by the Public Work crews:

Looking forward to seeing some red lines south of Kent-DM Road…
