The Des Moines Historical Society will be presenting the story of “Those Daring Young Men & Their Flying Machines,” as told by retired Boeing Flight Test Engineer John McEvoy on Wednesday, Nov. 9th starting at 7 p.m. at the IOOF Hall.

John McEvoy will present a photographic history and amazing stories of his lifetime association with flight, and the adventures that flight-testing and other duties entailed.

John is a 4th generation Washingtonian. His knowledge spans many decades, and is conveyed with humor and nostalgia. Questions will be answered at the end of the presentation, followed by an opportunity to socialize and enjoy refreshment.

The Des Moines Historical Society looks forward to seeing familiar faces, and welcomes newcomers.
