Residents, shoppers, vendors and others (including YOU?) will be celebrating Farmers Market Week at this Saturday’s Des Moines Farmers Market, when the Washington State Farmers Market Association and friends recognize market manager Rikki Marohl with the Best Market Manager Award.
The ceremony will take place this Saturday, Aug. 20th at the South Marina Park from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. The market runs from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. so there will be plenty of time to shop and pick up some great fresh foods or other items afterwards.
The Des Moines market and Rikki will be recognized for creating strong sales for Washington farmers, helping to foster small business growth and for bringing their community together around healthy food.
Please join local and state dignitaries this Saturday at South Marina Park as the association presents this prestigious award to Rikki for all her years of dedication to the Des Moines Farmers Market and the community.

Local favorites The Saltwater Saints will be playing at the market this weekend! They play a little of everything, oldies, country, rock & roll, contemporary and gospel! They’re a local band that plays at the market often, if you haven’t heard them yet be sure to come down and listen!
