This Saturday (July 31), Seattle Shakespeare Company’s Wooden O Theater will present “Much Ado About Nothing” in Des Moines Beach Park. The show begins at 7PM and is FREE to the public, no tickets or reservations are required.
In Much Ado About Nothing, when the men return victorious from war the women are ready and waiting for romance. Couples form and weddings are planned. All is going smoothly in this delightful comedy until a jealous brother sets a devastating lie in motion. Suddenly rivals Beatrice and Benedick must join forces to save the honor of an innocent girl. With sparkling prose, Much Ado About Nothing illustrates the beauty and complexity of human relationships and will win your heart again and again.
The show is directed by Sheila Daniels.
Founded in 1991, Seattle Shakespeare Company presents year-round productions of classical plays. In our indoor home at the Center House Theatre at Seattle Center, we produce a season of play by Shakespeare and other classic authors. During the summer our free, outdoor Wooden O productions tour to parks in King, Pierce and Snohomish counties. Our nimble state-wide touring productions feature 90-minute versions of Shakespeare’s works that play in schools and other venues. Our innovative education programs include school residencies, workshops, classes and camps during school breaks.
