I happen to be a City Council Candidate in Ward#1 and haven’t been invited to any of these events. Is there a reason for that, and if so, could I be there, as well. I am trying to meet as many folks as possible, even though Vlassis has been in office for 20 years. Thanx, sharon
I believe Sharon thinks this website is affiliated with another Des Moines…?
You’re running for a City Council seat and you don’t take the time to read and understand what an online blog is saying? Your first clue should have been when you saw the City Council candidates names did not include those in your race. Maybe you should run for something a little less complicated, like dog catcher.
Is anyone else confused?
Wow, too funny! She is running for council in Des Moines, Iowa. Not a very informed candidate if you ask me. How could you make your way to the waterland blog, past the article on our council race, through the Mt. Rainier Pool debate, and over to the waterfront farmers market article on a chili cook off which confirms which council candidates will be attending… I suppose we should take it as a compliment that she thought Des Moines, WA was as nice as the other Des Moines.
Wow! I have made a mental note that the Waterland Blog people from Des Moines, WA are mean! It was an easy mistake with the way search engines are designed. Type in City Council candidates and Des Moines and scroll around. A chili cookoff sounds like a fun event (even though the judges will probably be overly harsh). Besides, who has ever heard of Des Moines, WA? Why do people have to be so mean? Do you need a hug?
Wow! who is the mean one? I guess us hear in the town that no one has ever heard of may expect a little more out of city council candidates. I for one expect them to posess the critical thinking ability to navigate that new fangled technology called the internet. And come on, it is the WATERLAND blog. Why would any thing in Iowa be named Waterland? If it was the cornland blog, I could understand the confusion. Now lets look at the add on the very top of the landing page for powell homes. Didnt you think the 206 area code was a little suspect? If you look on the right side of the page, links to Yacht clubs (again water), Saltwater State Park, Des Moines marina, etc, along with many adds stating Des Moines, WA should give away the fact that this is not Iowa. Maybe being in the region with some of the largest tech companies in the world makes us a little more adept to technology.
Your argument would hold water, if there werent about 18 cues as to the location of this Des Moines available at first site.
Wanker, you have made me laugh out loud! Thank you!
