Start:
January 1, 1970 12:00 am

Join the community of Des Moines this Saturday, June 6th starting at 10am when the ever-popular Farmers Market returns to South Marina Park on the beautiful Des Moines waterfront.

Come and see old and new vendors – including the staff of your intrepid Waterland Blog (that’s right, we’ll have a booth there)!

Located in a beautiful setting with stunning views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains, the market serves as a community gathering place for people in the south Seattle area to meet up with their neighbors and interact with local family farmers. The market will feature about 30 vendors with a bounty of farm fresh vegetables and fruits, as well as cut flowers and unique local crafts.

Fourth annual Opening Day festivities will include face painting and kids activities plus the music of the Salt Water Saints playing Oldies, Country, Rock & Roll, Contemporary and Gospel.

New this year will be Wednesday Night Markets July 22-August 19th before Beach Concerts from 4-7pm. Stop by before you head off to the beach park to pick up fresh fruit, veggies, or sandwiches to eat at the concert.

The presenting sponsor of this year’s Des Moines Farmers Market is the Des Moines Legacy Foundation; seasonal sponsor is Dave Kaplan, Councilmember. There are numerous market day sponsors who you will meet throughout the season, which runs through October 31st.

DMFM is a Member of the Washington State Farmers Market Association.
